Reflection On English Media For Literacy

English for media literacy was such an advantageous course for all people who are interested in improving their language skills and knowledge of the media at the same time. 

According to my experience, I learned a lot of new words, vocabulary, grammar, reading skills, and much more. I learned the basic concepts about media and media literacy, the world of advertising, and targeted marketing strategies. In this course there are five modules, first module was "Introduction to media literacy". Media has become an important part of our daily lives and can be found everywhere from radio to social media.

In this module, I learned what is media literacy and how we can improve our own media literacy skills. The interesting thing I learned in this course was through selecting reading, interview, and video lectures.

I learned what questions to ask and how to analyze the message I received through the media each day.

In the second module "The evolution of media"I learned the distinguished between traditional and social media and how to use comparative adjectives to compare media types, weigh the positive and negative aspects of social media.

The third module was "Advertisement and the media" In this module, I learned what is advertisement and how advertisements are used to sell products. 

The fourth module was "Bias in the media". Media sources to may  report new stories in differnt ways based on their beliefs and political veiw. Being able to analyze source to identify media bias the key to media literacy.In the last module of this course "Diversity and the media". I think it is also important to consider the way people from diifferent cultures and background are shown in the media. Through several vedio lectures and sample media, I learned about the importance of including people from various races, cultures, and genders in mainstream media, At the end of this module, I learned to compare media images and masseges in the united states of those in our own country.

This was my first experience to attending online course and I am really happy I am particant in this course.
