Reflection On English For Journalism
English For Journalism
In this course, I learned how journalism has changed over time as well as the guiding principles of ethical journalism. If we know the history and principle of journalism it will help us to become successful reporter.
I learned historical development, milestone and principle of journalism and also words forms to expand our vocabulary. The main thing I never know was the simple past and past progressive to report and describe the past event.
Interviewing and accurately quoting a source is also a necessary skill for building a story. If we want to become journalism or reporter we must follow the following steps
- Introduction to journalism
- How to research, pitch, and interview
- Word in print
- Broadcasting the news
- New media journalism
The most important thing I want to mention in my reflection is the most fruitful thing in this course was testing our knowledge about the lesson through different activities like quizzes etc. These activities provide us with the opportunity for language practice.
I learned helpful tips and suggestion on how we can succeed in our online course.
Our instructor Melissa Mendelson is such an inspiring person, Thanks for your effort and for providing us with such a fruitful course. Especially I want to thanks my beloved teacher ma'am Quratulain for providing us with this platform. I learned many new words vocabulary, tense and much more.
I suggest my other friends take this course and improve their English in journalism.
Thanks a lot!
